Has anyone else started the DEP program? If so, give us the gouge!
DEP has so far been paperwork only.Has anyone else started the DEP program? If so, give us the gouge!
I believe it's also the, "Delayed Entry Program".I've filled out some form for "Officer Commissioning Onboarding Program." Is that what you're talking about? I thought DEP was only for those going enlisted.
They have DEP for officers as wellI've filled out some form for "Officer Commissioning Onboarding Program." Is that what you're talking about? I thought DEP was only for those going enlisted.
There is a packet you have to learn and be tested on. Just wondering how that is setup. Guess I should have been more specific.I believe it's also the, "Delayed Entry Program".
I signed things last Friday and "enlisted" (swore-in) officially with paperwork, but they didn't mention anything about that. There is a packet you have to learn and be tested on. Just wondering how that is setup. Guess I should have been more specific.
Seems rather laxxxx.
I would assume it’s because you are leaving early. It’s a month by month program to keep candidates motivated while they prepare to ship.I signed things last Friday and "enlisted" (swore-in) officially with paperwork, but they didn't mention anything about that.
Maybe. I know what you're talking about, the prep info refers to being in a DEP program and specifies things that the candidate and recruiter sign-off, knowledge areas, etc. I don't think it's a priority since the average time from notification of class date to actual ship date is so short right now... That or my OR can't be bothered with it lol. Pre-Covid selectees had an average wait time of 30-90 days before shipping to OCS so I think that's why it existed. I haven't come across anyone on the forum actually running through that DEP Program before they ship.I would assume it’s because you are leaving early. Yup, yup that’s the program. It’s kinda light honestly. Not much to it. Which Is sad. I was able to go through it in a weekend.Maybe. Yeah, I think it would take me longer to memorize, I need more than a weekend lol but the fact that it's already organized makes it a really nice study guide to follow to make sure you're squared away before shipping out. Assuming people are proactive which I'd imagine most are on AW.Yup, yup that’s the program. It’s kinda light honestly. Not much to it. Which Is sad. I was able to go through it in a weekend.
I heard that most people don’t know Bravo at all. So, it is what it is. I just remember when I was in ROTC and didn’t know the code of conduct for AAS and was so embarrassed lol. CFA study helped me get self motivated though. Was a weird transition that has stuck for the better.
