The improvement you can make is indeed crazy once you start. Awesome stuff man - I try to go on regular 10 and 15k runs if I can keeping the HR under 155. was able to make my "forever" pace at 8:40 at one point.

That heart rate is suspiciously low if accurate though - guessing the wrist sensor was off or something?
Geez I push up to 200 HR BPM sometimes on average like 185 BPM

Thank you! My family feels it's "potentially dishonest" to take a job knowing I would leave down the road upon selection. I disagree and side with all the great advice here.

You know I was in the same exact mindset as your family when younger - I felt an obligation to firms that hired me. The thing is that almost at every single place I've worked at, I've seen good, dedicated people let go who were not top notch schmoozers (like me). Now if a small, family firm were to hire you or someone you know of course that is different.

200 damn, you should be off with the SEALs if you punish yourself like that consistently!

I'm a fan of below-threshold HR training for running. It's a very long way to do it, but you minimize injury risk and actually start to enjoy running. Should still push yourself and do some sprinting of course.

you have to factor in some guys can max out over 200 so it may not be a barn burner everyday. I’m on the lower end of the scale though, i could be racing an all out mile and i can’t go over 185

I just push my self to get that high. Sometimes I typically run 3.5 miles and each would have a different pace. Like a 7.50 mile then two 8.30 miles and the last 0.5 mile like a 80-100% jog sprint. You all have to think running by yourself has to do with a big part of dealing with the mental game, but if you’re running with a pack or a group of people, you seem to just want to keep up with everyone in a sense push’s you to go faster and longer.

I've started job hunting and already interviewed with a firm. The guy shared they're hesitant to hire anyone between COVID shutdowns/regulations and a new administration coming in. I imagine many businesses feel the same right now.
If you can get on with the Post office, it super easy and pay isn’t to bad usually starts at 20ish. Also the years can count towards retirement...

Yes wrist base, since have upgrade to polar h10. Also that run I had to stop and stopped my match so that def messed up the average. Also I think that heart based training is called maffetone training right?
