Don’t do it from what I understand my recruiter said in the stuff I signed that I would do anything to mess up my medical at MEPS.
I now regret not going beforehand. First world problems for sure.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if we are able to get tattoos during this "purgatory" board process? Is there still biased in the Navy with tattoos? I know the regs are extremely relaxed, but I want to make sure I know what to expect before I keep getting permanent ink on my body haha
I grew my hair out is this bad?!? ? lolI was told by my recruiter not to change anything at all for now. No more tattoos, piercings, crazy hair colors, maintain weight as much as possible, etc.

I distinctly remember initialing next to something along the lines of “I understand I’m not to obtain any additional tattoos, markings, piercings, etc while awaiting commission or in school” which is kind of a bummer because it’s the perfect time to get more.
So no pink hair? Wow.. the Navy is going too far now! lol
I went to meps the first Monday after the new year...heard of a few enlisted shippers not being able to leave for basic bc of their weightIt's maintaining the same weight after the holiday season for me... lol
To be honest, I finished my package in 3 weeks (some experience from USMC OCS) and only scanned most of the paperwork. I had already signed it a few years ago so I wasn't worried. I'm glad you said that because I definitely don't remember reading. It absolutely is the perfect time, but I'm sure we can make it work after OCS.
