25JAN21 PILOT/NFO BOARD

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if we are able to get tattoos during this "purgatory" board process? Is there still biased in the Navy with tattoos? I know the regs are extremely relaxed, but I want to make sure I know what to expect before I keep getting permanent ink on my body haha

I was told by my recruiter not to change anything at all for now. No more tattoos, piercings, crazy hair colors, maintain weight as much as possible, etc.

I distinctly remember initialing next to something along the lines of “I understand I’m not to obtain any additional tattoos, markings, piercings, etc while awaiting commission or in school” which is kind of a bummer because it’s the perfect time to get more.

To be honest, I finished my package in 3 weeks (some experience from USMC OCS) and only scanned most of the paperwork. I had already signed it a few years ago so I wasn't worried. I'm glad you said that because I definitely don't remember reading. It absolutely is the perfect time, but I'm sure we can make it work after OCS.

I only remember because I already had my next one drawn out and ready to make the appointment haha. Im pretty sure you can do whatever you want after OCS as long as it’s within the rules and guidelines
