Even though this board is closed for intel, my OR said he submitted my package in case of a miracle. He also submitted me for IP (though I don't have a strong interest). Any idea if such miracles actually happen?

If a designator is closed what they will often do is the program manager will reject it for that designator and it will never be sent to the board, or it will be held until a board for that designator is scheduled, it just depends on the directions the PM's have been given.I have a TIS waiver for CW as my application still included CW and INTEL despite it not being on the board. I did receive approval of the waiver already.
If you’re able to apply for Immediate Selection for INTEL you will bypass the board being closed. Have you discussed anything like this with your Recruiter?Even though this board is closed for intel, my OR said he submitted my package in case of a miracle.
Unfortunately, neither of my degrees fall into the ISEL categories, though they're adjacent. From the program auth: "Possess a degree in international relations, political science, history, or studies directly related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics."If you’re able to apply for Immediate Selection for INTEL you will bypass the board being closed.
