For the initiated, can you translate? lol
Basically when you're a new airman/seaman/fireman and you go to the ship for the first time whether you're stationed on it or visiting (in my case I was in a VFA squadron so we hop on for DET and cruises) they donate you off to some part of the ship doing the shitty work. It's usually in the galleys or in the waste rooms. It's not fun but its pretty much a requirement. You basically become a slave somewhere for like 90-120 days until your squadron remembers you exist and get you back.

I had to DOR out of the OCS program this past week while here and reapply for pilot again to come back in a year due to some crazy medical issues that happened here. How long have most of you been waiting for OCS SNA/NFO slots to be accepted?
Sorry to hear that. We’re you essentially NAMI whammied? or is this a separate issue that came up after the flight physical?

Speaking of getting NAMI whammied, assuming I even get that far, is there anything I can do to avoid getting NAMI whammied? I think i'm in pretty good shape just coming off a 4 year college soccer career but I wear glasses/contacts with a really mild prescription/refractive error (correctable to 20/20).

Nothing you can really do to avoid it. If there’s an issue, they will find it. To be fair though,
Not a lot of ppl get DQ’d
