31OCT22 SNA/SNFO BOARD

Got ya! I knew the dates but didn’t know when we would find out if we were prorec yes or no
To clarify, the convene date is when the board is supposed to begin going over applications. I think the average wait for results *after* the convene date is 2 weeks - 1mo. Last board I believe it was 20ish days.

Another thing to remember is that the convene date is set way in advance, so it can move if the people they need aren't available, but they won't update the schedule.

We're getting down to the wire here and I still have not heard back from MEPS about my additional documents being approved to schedule my physical.

God I'm really hoping for a miracle and that we can get this rolling before the deadline hits. I have no idea what's taking them so long. They asked for additional documents that were submitted on 08/19 and we still don't have a reply yet.

My OR hit me up today and said he's "been having difficulties with MEPS" but will let me know when they get back to him. Not sure if this is a MEPS delay in general or if it's just an issue with my paperwork?
Hard to say man.. MEPS is a shitshow like 99% of the time. They made me see a fricken dermatologist for dry skin on my face that almost screwed me out of this board. Depending on your prior health history they may be really hung up on that. Have you not been there before at all? Or would this be a second time there?

This will be my first time. I didn't even have that many records that were submitted with my paperwork either, which is why I'm confused. They initially replied and needed a specific record updated so I went and saw a doctor, that was on a Monday and we submitted the additional documentation that Friday, and now they went radio silent.
Yeah that's worrying. Best thing you can probably do is just make sure your recruiter is bugging the hell out of them to get you in there ASAP. Especially as an officer candidate that should put your stuff as a priority.

Sorry man. I know the pain of MEPS. My first time through from first contact to physical was 9 months. I can’t stand the medical process

I haven't even been to meps yet, I've asked my recruiter when I'm going to meps and he hasn't said anything. But in one week I finished everything else in the application including the sf86. I am confused why he's not worried about meps though, he said something like he already has most of my medical info and physical or something like that? I'll have to bug him about it.

Due date is in 2 weeks, if you have zero preexisting issues you might be able to get in, get physical back and get submitted to NRC in time

Damn it kinda sucks that we may have been close to finding out if we got selected had the 01Aug board happened. I hate just waiting, but I guess I better get used to it lol

First contact to MEPS for me was 11 months. To be fair I did have a 6 month wait for LASIK but from that to actually going to MEPS was still 5 months
