Yeah, hopefully a 3.4 gets the job done. I'm from San Diego originally.tbh I had a 3.48 GPA but who's keeping track... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what part of cali are you from?
Nice, NorCal myself. Your scores look really solid, looks like you've got a pretty good chance. Good luck!Yeah, hopefully a 3.4 gets the job done. I'm from San Diego originally.
Good luck everyone. My recruiter messaged me today... just confirmed that the board has convened. Just a waiting game now.
IWC board is a remote board, recruiters do not know if it has started or not, they have no obligation to let NRC know, they just have to send them the results.
There have been a few times when people posted here that their recruiter said a remote board had started when I had a board member in my office, or I was on a recruiting trip with a board member and the board had actually not started.
Odds are he just looked at the board schedule, that is what most of them (and the processors) will do.
Oh, dear. When might we know whether or not the board has convened? You said they’re under no obligation to inform anyone .. Might we just sit around until January and someone finally says “oh lol results aren’t coming, the board never convened.” ?
When the results come out, that is when you know it actually convened.
There have been just a few times when we have waited and waited for results, only to find out the board was cancelled.
Just FYI, for the 18 Sep IWC board my recruiter called me on Oct 10th with the results... your mileage may vary.
This is what helps me:
1. I assume I'm a Pro Rec N.
2. I will hear about it either before or after Christmas.
3. Look for ways to improve myself and start them.
I'm with you on this. Having a non STEM degree, I know my chances may not be as high I would like. I'm still shooting for Intel/IW, but there's some fascinating reads all over this site about SWO/Aviation life, just in case #1 is correct and you want to add to/change your preferences. After scouring the forums, it does appear that the average wait is around 3 weeks or so. In the mean time, I can get my fitness up some more; Thanksgiving was somewhat detrimental to my mock PRT numbers. Luckily, I have prior training from the Navy in the art of waiting . Good luck again to all.
