4NOV24 SWO Board

A few pages ago everyone was counting on ten days after board which would have been a Wednesday or Thursday depending on how you count, so if anyone *really* knows they probably aren't saying.

When he submitted the application, my recruiter didn't commit to saying anything sooner than "probably by Thanksgiving," so I figure the answer is whenever the whims of the powers that be feel like it.

My recruiter said the board results will all be out before thanksgiving, swo normally releases before the other boards so my guess would be swo early this week and the rest late this week and some next week

Patiently waiting 🤞I also found out I was at the October IWC board. So now I’m really ready to find out 😂😂

Whenever I start feeling antsy I just do some more pushups. I really hate the bloody pushups so it's great negative reinforcement to keep my mind off, and they're definitely my weak spot for physical requirements so it's a good excuse to do them anyway.

You'll be maxing those out on your PRT in no time!

That’s a good idea, I restarted my gym membership. So I plan on getting back to the gym and using it as a distraction 😂😂 but I should start air chairs whenever I’m getting anxious.

Yo let me know what ur split is! I’ve been getting shin splints for running but I’ve been doing core HIIT workouts too and adding side planks/pushups to those
So as of right now, I’m doing long slow runs like 13:30 min/mile pace for 3-4 miles every day. I use super thick cushioned running shoes, Brooks Glycerin Max. If I get selected off this board, I’m expecting a March school date. So I’ll start HIIT about 2-3 times a week about 3-4 months in advance. So maybe next month. But right now I’m prioritizing improving my cardio, so when incorporate HIIT I can just maintain my cardio with ~3 runs a week. So I’m only working out like 5-6 days a week.

Also, for shin splints, you may need to lower your intensity and mileage to let your legs get used to running, your bones, tendons and ligaments take about 6-8 weeks from beginner status to adapt to running. If you do too much too soon it’ll lead to injury and shin splints.
