For whatever it's worth - and I'd lean toward "not much more than a thought" - it's my understanding that if you haven't been pro-rec'd yet, it may not happen this year. Last I heard from my recruiting office was that the September boards were the last for SNA in 2010... again, all speculation, but just as a heads up to anybody in that phase of the process. I know I had to really pound the phones to get reliable information, and it can be pretty frustrating to keep other plans on ice while you wait to hear back.

Triangles, what stats do you wanna know?

As far as I remember, I got 7/8/8 or 7/7/8 on the ASTB, had 5 good LORs from current/previous employers and one Navy O-6 Nuke, 3.4 GPA in Mech. Engineering, fair amount of college activities, etc.

Just going regular SWO. Got recc'd for SNFO (my first choice) but got medically disqualified due to LASIK I received earlier when I was enlisted.

SWO sounds fun, but if I really do want to go after SWO-N it should be possible to lat transfer during my DIVO tour.

Just one boat, USS Chicago (SSN 721) from Jun 2002 - Sep 2006 stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI.

You don't really get too much involved with the "BIG" Navy in the sub community. No more seeing other people running around the engine room with nothing on but a belt, TLD, and boots while yelling "Captain Reactor saving the day!".

Anyone have a good link to some up-to-date gouge material for OCS?

Finally, got a class date!

Pro-rec in April for Pilot, and after all the madness of medical and MEPS and my birth certificate being wrong in the system and a whole host of other problems, I'm finally in!

Except I don't know if my recruiter said December 5th or December 12th...I was too excited and may have heard 12/5 or Decemebr 12, but who cares, it finally came through -- looking forward to it!

When are you supposed to get your final select letter? I am slated for Dec 5 class and have already taken my Oath of Office and signed my life away. Still waiting to hear back from my Chief. I would like to see some real paperwork soon.

I would think your actual select letter already came through -- my actual select letter went to my recruiter in email form (I think it's all automated now, uploaded through O-Tools), and he forwarded it to me. It had the date on it a la "Congratulations, you have been selected to attend the 05 December 2010 Officer Candidate School class in Newport, RI"...swore me in at NRD HQ a couple days later.

So it's official, 05 December 2010, right around the corner, it's gonna sneak up on all of us --

Not sure if there's anythign else we have to do, just periodically check in with recruiter/processor up until a couple days before you leave.

I think my recruiter said something about a final PRT something like the week after next, but I'm not sure about that. Does that ring a bell? Something like one last PRT within a couple of weeks of our report date?
