To be fair, no one has made a movie about a Navy supply officer... might be hard to see past that. That being said you'd think you'd spend a little bit of time looking around before sending the package in.
the movie under siege was about a cook, that is pretty close to supply officer! To be fair, no one has made a movie about a Navy supply officer... might be hard to see past that. That being said you'd think you'd spend a little bit of time looking around before sending the package in.

You almost got me but the Wikipedia synopsis says that this "cook" was actually a Navy SEAL...
I did eight years on active duty in the Marines and got out November of 2016. I worked on the f18 hornet and always wanted to fly so I started by submitting my package for pilot/NFO with the thought that if I didn’t get one of those two I did not want to come back in. But after some time now I have changed my mind and decided I want to come back in as a officer, and the job dosent matter that much because I miss the life style the people and the opportunity to lead and influence people. So yea at first I only cared about one option now after some time to think and reflect I’ve changed my mind and am looking at alternative communities . If I do not get selected in this board I will be out of time due to my age after for pilot or NFO.Wait a second... Did you really apply to the navy with only looking at two communities!? That seems a little out there to me man.
Not trying to be a dick just curious how that happened.
That makes a little more sense. For whatever my two cents may be worth, you can still get picked up at this board. Your package is apparently in, so just call your new recruiter whenever the results come out. Many of us here have already missed boards for stupid reasons as well.I did eight years on active duty in the Marines and got out November of 2016. I had to get a waiver because I am currently 28. I will be 29 in late May. Is the waiver I have now good for after my birthday in May or will I have to get a new one. If I don’t get selected on this board. Thanks for the info.Age cut off for Pilot is 29 with prior service, 31 for NFO.

Kind of an unrelated question kind of directed @RUFiO181, and I'm sorry if there are already a bazillion posts about it, but do the amount of waivers and the severity of conditions allowed change as the needs of the Navy change (i.e. they are undermanned so let lots in, overmanned crank up the difficulty)?
I think it will still meet because this board is set for FY18 while the Senate is meeting for FY19 budget. Key phrase there is "I think".So does anybody know if the board still convenes if the Senate doesn't pass the budget?
The problem is the shut down. Military Personnel are considered essential, but is the board caught under the umbrella of that is what I'm wonderig.I think it will still meet because this board is set for FY18 while the Senate is meeting for FY19 budget. Key phrase there is "I think".
I asked my recruiter a while ago and he said the boards aren't affected. So does anybody know if the board still convenes if the Senate doesn't pass the budget?
