I just chose a Hornet because it has the most interesting profile. (Unfortunately) an F/A-18 is what people tend to associate most with Naval Aviation. I'll try some other planes and see how they look.

(Plus the effect of the red trail is sort of diminished when its a turboprop.)

I think the no plane idea is a good one... Just simply AW. Those in the know will know, and those not in the know, well, won't.

I'd gladly sport one on my car... All we need now is the "AW 1000 Post" patch...

Is that like ..... when 2 guys from VF-213 were up at NUW 'OClub one fine Friday night some years back .... and slapped one of their squadron stickers on the right (lower) cheek of then-Trophy-flirtation; now Trophy-Wife ... ???

Is that a "zap"??? I'm assuming it was some kind of Fightertown mark of "approval" ... ???

Since I started it...

Here's my attempt at it. I tried to match the text feel of the banner above. I liked the Haze Grey idea, but I also liked the idea of some color. Staggered the wings to match the banner above, liked the idea of the contrail - but didn't like the jet. Kind of made my own two-color (blue/green team), and got both the NA/NFO wings on there in gold. What do you think?

I like the grey version but the white proves to
be more of a clear design when it comes to sharpness...
also, it is a little bit easier to pick out the wings of gold
in the white version.
