A lot of their pilots can't think faster than 100 KIAS. It's getting better with time, evidently.

I witness this frequently.

A lot of us aren't pilots of aircraft that need to spend half of their time airborne waiting to refuel just to provide 30 minutes of on-station time and four Mk-82's. Talk about glass houses...

Update on the recent AW-609 crash. It appears it broke up in flight during high speed testing. Helicopters are generally limited by retreating blade stall - not sure if there are any strange aerodynamics with a tilt rotor.
