I guess they want to go somewhere where local Trotskyist politicians aren't advocating to nationalize their factory and use it to make buses.

I hadn't seen that yet. I honestly can't tell the difference between satire and reality anymore when it comes to some of the ideas originating from the PNW metropolitan areas.

That was the city councilmember who is not a Democrat, but a member of Socialist Alternative. This was a few years ago, but she literally thought the response to Boeing threatening to move jobs out of state was for the workers to physically take over the factory and "retool" it to make things like buses. Instead of "war machines," like airliners. Because, you know, any industrial engineer fresh out of undergrad would tell you what an easy thing that is to do with a factory.

Even for Seattle, she's a fucking whackjob, and I'll leave it there to avoid merges into the Thunderdome.

I do wonder how many of the younger (KPAE) ones will just relocate. Charleston isn't half bad, doesn't have a lot of the trouble that Seattle has at the moment, and the money goes a little farther.
