No kidding, I would have been ok with July, a little more time to be prepared, I guess a slot opened up, not sure how that works but needless to say i was a little surprised..happy nevertheless, but surprised

Hey Josh,

i'm telling you buddy, you have to ditch the Canadian citizenship. Before being given a final select the program manager needed a personalized letter from my consulate stating that all renunciation documents have been submitted and that they have taken control of my foreign passport. After giving me a final select, I actually had an ammendment with my active duty orders (a separate page) that stated if my citizenship is not renounced by the time OCS comes around, I will be sent to the RTC. :eek:

Just trying to give you a heads up as to why you're stuff is likely getting held up. Unless you just didn't even tell them and through the luck of god they didn't find out you are a dual citizen, you will likely have to go through the renunciation process before given a final select.

I got pro-reced for SNA at the end of January, and I'm trying to get the findocs paperwork in at this point.

For anybody wondering...I sent off my app in December, Pro-Rec on Jan 20th. FINDOCS sent off Feb 13, and Final select March 3. OCS date of April 15. Ended up being right about 3 weeks from FINDOCS to Final select, good luck to you all hope to see you down in Pensacola!

I will make a third, pro-rec'd in January, medically cleared (waivers approved) on Feb. 27, awaiting final select.

As stated just a bit earlier, I too am a January pro-rec SNA, waiting on Final Select. I put down January for availability, so if all goes well, I might just be in April too, but who knows? What about you guys? Available now or later?

I got word that I am Final Select SNA (bdcp) today. I'm stoked, I go to sign and swear in on next Wednesday. Thanks to all who have posted anything on this site, it has been my saving grace. Time to go celebrate.

Update: found out I was final select (SNA) today. Class date is April 15.

I'm pumped, and I'm in "oh sh!t" mode. I have barely a month to get everything in order, but yet I can't wait.

Wow, they're really not giving you much notice. I was final select (SNA) a week and a half ago for the same class, and I thought that wasn't much notice.

Anyways, congratulations. See you on the 16th.
