API/Primary wait

This is second hand... but I graduate from here in May and was told yesterday that all of the guys from here going aviation might be stashed at the ROTC unit until January.
Don't get me wrong, the idea of getting paid full time to essentially do nothing and go to football games on the weekend does not look unattractive, but 7 months is a LONG time.

Pennst8, I was stashed for 4 months at my ROTC unit at Pitt after I got commissioned (May-Oct) A few of us went TAD to a hornet squadron in Oceana for a month or so though. I'd recommend something like that if you can swing it.
I mean, I was stashed at Pitt and it started getting old, I can't even imagine what it would be like getting stashed at Penn State... (just a good natured rivalry)

I get commissioned in may too and it looks like I will be stashed for awhile. The unit's CO, XO, and MOI are leaving this summer so we have been asked to stay to help out the new staff get settled in. Daytona sucks though. We got no football and the girls are worthless (i.e. ugly and few and far between). Im sick of this place so I cant wait to get out of here.
Swmtb, you mean between API and primary? I just checked into TRAWING-6 and I am hearing that the answer is a resounding NO. and if u are a pilot it shouldnt be a long wait to start primary. I know of only one guy who is going elsewhere TAD, but thats in A-pool (also an NFO with many months ahead of him)

I know SNFOs who did OHARP during the API-Primary wait. So if you want to go back to your hometown, do some officer recruiting, and see family, friends, wife, gf, etc. then it seems possible. But you have to do the leg work and its a no-cost tad. I leave for Cali for oharp in about week. Yes...im in still A-pool and the lady in flt mgmt said (as a guestimate) that ill class up either middle or end of March. Well, at least i'll get to eat some in-n-out

Current and projected wait for SNA's
Obviously, the delays right now for API are in the range of months, not weeks, depending on SNA versus NFO.
Has flight manangement projected these current delays to be
1) increasing
2) decreasing
3) staying the same
during the next several months?
