The military works in mysterious ways my friend... I am going to keep moving forward, get the PRT done next week and hope for a quick letter turn around (As longs as I meet the PRT). Well shall see. I am still OK age wise for the NFO....

So, starting to get extremely frustrated at this process, being enlisted I have to go through CNRC for results, but I can't. My CoC has to, and starting to just get annoyed at the fact that results are out, and I cannot get answers.

Change Commands in less than 2 weeks, and go on deployment in less than two months, and OCS orders would dramatically change those plans considerably, but of course I cannot get a straight answer from an NRD or anything.

Sigh, Hopefully today eh?

I hear you. Looks like, pending this vision program thing gets cleared up, I might miss the date for NA and go FO.

Oh well, I'm just, as of now, happy to be here. :icon_smil

I might just go do the PRT on Thursday and get it over with....! I already talked to the boss and he fully supports me.

Had a good conversation today with my OR. Regarding the Navy LASIK aviation study, he said that he is well aware that I have LASIK and doesn't forsee any issues regarding getting into the study. I'm just standing by for my medical records to be transferred to a new MEPS station.

Once this goes to final select, I will write up something in the PRK forum. I don't want to jump the gun too quickly regarding the process but the least I can say is do your homework and be upfront when you have issues pending, medical and all.

Hit the opthamologist today too and nailed the depth perception and still maintain 20/15 and 20/20 left and right. Nothing at all to worry about regarding my 5 year old LASIK.

Hurry up and wait. More hurry because I am getting old!!! Cocktail time.

Got an email from my processor today asking me to make a correction on my SF86. I logged in looking for the problem but couldn't find it.....man I hate this SF86. Also there was a new section regarding US passports that wasn't there last time I filled it out, so it might be a good idea for everyone here to check it out and put that information in, it can't hurt, and could possibly help speed up the process.

Good point....this seems to happen a lot. Changes in the SF-86 is what screwed up my application the first time and bumped me from the July to the August boards. Then after I got pro-rec'd, I also had to go back and fill out that passport section. Now it is all complete, but for some reason won't let my recruiter submit it. I can't wait to submit my final documents for a FS so I can wait some more...

PRT Set up for Tuesday next week. Talked to the NRD and they "said" it would not have an adverse effect to wait til Tuesday vs doing it tomorrow. We shall see! I hope my MEPS still good as well! I am sorta ancious....!

I called my OR about "changes" to the SF-86 and he said no one has let him know that I need to change anything. Since I was originally going for Nuke, I had to do the TS clearance but I don't know if it was changed or not. Oh well, I'll just hang out until I hear something.

I had been called and told they had "updated" the SF86 and there was some new things I needed to fill out but this was all that was different.

I too had to refill out portions of the SF86. Passport number and reference information (for work and friends, their relationship to me). Did that at the beginning of August though.

All of my old co's wrote their own the only one i wrote was my current skippers, and he just bottom lined it

As for all the SF86 changes ... good luck. This has been an ongoing issue with a few people. I don't know if it is specific to TS clearance or what. But it has been holding me up since May.
