I've got a few T-2C pics when flying with VT-4...more like 4 or 5 lousy ones.

I was rolling or something in this pic (of course I had the CO's permission ;)):

Still nice to look at! (Real stuff.) Thanks for takin' the time.:)

So what's broken on this jet today, Chief?
None
I'm definitely planning on going to the party, along with most, if not all, of the last class. We heard about the banner towing debacle from one of the Lockheed instructors, sounds pretty crazy to me, but then again, that was a completely different time.

One of the contract instructors mentioned that they used to tow a banner behind the T-2 that they used for gun practice, that's all.

Every day, several times a day .... out of PCOLA, Beeville, and Kingsville ....

All in a day's work. Not a problem. :)

In fact --- a very desirable job reserved ONLY for prior Fleet experienced drivers, a very responsible job, and a great way to build flight time for .... ???? :)

Here are a couple of very poor quality and beat-up VT-9 photos I took on a Form-flight out of Meridian with a cheap old camera, and sent to my parents four decades ago. Many years later, I rescued them from the attic.

Note these are single-engine, T-2As!  :)

...... Nevertheless, some great memories! :D :D

HAL, you really don't look anything like the mustachioed Lothario on your avatar scratching his nuts and drinking a beer in his skivvies.

My old man found an old reel-reel film that his chase instructor shot of him on his first T-2 solo, same single engine era from Meridian! Watching that video (he had it captured to DVD) I realized that Meridian hasn't changed one bit in 40 years.
I was really nervous in the T-34, TA-4, and Harrier my first time by myself, but for some reason the T-2 just seemed easier and more comfortable to fly.

Then again, maybe it was just "ignorance is bliss".

I'm nervous just being able to see a Harrier! But fighting you guys is SO much fun!
