Chances of me being selected for Intel Officer

They are looking more for technical degrees now, doesn't mean not to apply, they also look at the schools you attended and how competitive they are.

That being said Intel is filled for FY12, they are looking at 10 available spots for FY13

so I turned in my Intel package today and signed my Aspr and all my other forms. Here's to Hoping. The board is in march according to the recruiter.

As of last week it is still on, it will be very competitive, they are on track to have around 600 applications for about 10 spots.

well. I gave it my all and pulled every string.

got my masters, solid recs from a 4 star vice cno, solid rec from my thesis profs vouching for my research abilities. And solid leadership sills and ep Evalls as an hm1 . Its out of my hands now. Here's to hoping

So this turned out to be false, correct? Wasn't the board in march canceled and post-poned to October? This is the information I have received from my recruiter.

I had submitted my application for March too. To my dismay and chargin, due to the apparent cancellation of the the Intel board, I was only considered for my back-up options which included Supply Officer which I did get selected for. Apparently this means I can't try for the Intel board in October: they say to turn down the Supply board now would basically be a big demerit on my record in any future attempts at any officer board.
This just irks me terribly to know that my application didn't even get considered for Intel, my whole reason for my degree and my application. I'd rather fail to be selected for a legitimate reason than to be locked-out without being considered. Now I must decide if I actually want Supply and my first feeling is 'heck no!' but I am currently investigating the job to see if there is anything I can get excited about. So far, the more I learn the more boring it seems. I REALLY need to learn something interesting about Supply to get motivated, or I think I may take my chances and wait until October, or some other career perhaps.

If you didn't want to accept the possibility of being a Supply Officer, then you shouldn't have put it down as your "back-up" option.

It is doubtful there will be any Intel boards for a few years, other IDC designators yes, but the Intel designator community is overmanned, and they have a lot waiting to go, I believe around 60 with a goal of 7, so they have enough selected for years.
