What kind of fucking garbage is this? I'm not given to profanity in a public form very often, but this kind of toxic bullshit is infuriating. Jesus. H. Christ, Ghost SWO...you're an allegedly smart person...think like one.

As to why is there no evidence? Ask the 50+ some odd judges that presided over all the election fraud cases and you'll get your answer: there isn't any to be found because there wasn't fraud.

I hope not, and right now I don't think so.

Incoming theory:

I hope what we've seen in Congress over the last four years was not just a diversion (Impeachment etc.). How do you go about stealing gold bricks from a safe in Venice? You need a diversion to draw attention away from what you're actually doing. The Democrats are driving their fancy Italian boat away loaded with gold bricks and everyone is none the wiser because we were all focused on the imploded hotel four blocks away that has "Trump" in gold letters on it.

Why is there no evidence? Maybe the diversion was so effective, it gave them time to get away scot free and no one is ever going to find out. Maybe the diversion is so effective, we're still debating about how Trump is a good guy or bad guy and we're missing the whole thing?

/end theory :)

My theory, there are more people who despise Trump than actually like him.

To expand upon that point, I would argue that over the last 60 years, if Democrats either run a candidate based on charisma (Kennedy - “ask not...”, B.Clinton - “I feel your pain”, Obama - “Hope and Change”) or effectively demonise the Republican candidate (Goldwater, Nixon, Trump), the Democrats win the election. If the Democrats run on “the issues”, the Democratic coalition is so broad, that it causes infighting and the Democrats lose the election.

Statements like this are not consistent with uniformed service, or the guidance recently put out by CJCS and the service chiefs. I recommend you rethink this kind of discourse on this site. If I had heard someone in uniform seriously engaging in such "theorizing," there would have been paperwork for that individual to sign.
Paperwork for what exactly?

Agree. We saw this in the Democratic Primaries and Amy Klobuchar summed it up pretty well: a lot of Democratic platforms are pipedreams and not plans. The difference being you can actually accomplish a plan.

I also think how his handling of COVID was portrayed in the more left-leaning media also played a part. Stats and numbers and melodramatic anchors/performers pushed COVID for the last 9-10 months.

Agreed, this is what I told my wife. There is a difference between campaigning and legislating. On the campaign trail politician make promises to win votes and get into office. Once in, they tend to forget those promise and it happens on both side...Obamacare (still have it), boarder wall (still not completed)...

Let's not just blame this in on the media. It is entirely possible that people were aware of and living with the impacts of COVID and felt that the USG COVID response could have been more effective, empathetic, and better coordinated within the limits of the ways the USG has to respond to a crisis like this.

It's entirely possible that individual voters made up their own minds about the impacts COVID had in their own life.

I'm not blaming it entirely on the media, but they did have a part.

I will say, it is easy for anyone to sit back and Monday-morning quarterback how they would have done things differently. It's entirely different to be in that position making those calls.

EDITS/Additions in BOLD as I could no longer edit the original post

Here's a 16 DEC 2020 article that bullet points 50 some court cases, their outcome, and judges general opinion.

Here's a more recent article from USA Today (don't laugh, it's not polite) regarding the eventual 61 lawsuits brought in hopes of overturning the elections results in some states.

My problem with this kind of trash -- and I acknowledge that in later posts you tried to give it less weight, but you score no points for that because of your post history in this thread alone -- is that most of us see it and discard it as shallow and not worth attention.

...and then, as it turns out, half of the motherfucking country hears it enough that they're on board.

Nobody cares about the opinions of Ghost SWO, Internet Commenter (or any of us, I'd hope) until the fire burns hot enough to occupy a significant acreage of public discourse. Especially if that fire is fanned by talk show personalities. And then by high-ranking government officials who recognize an interested voter base. And then by a sitting President.

Free speech fanatic though I fashion myself to be, this election season is challenging my beliefs and principles in a way I've yet to resolve.

What's the saying?

Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth?

Keep reaching.
Let’s play name the prominent Republican’s quote...

None of this would have happened without the President. The President could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not. There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution.

Just a quick anecdote based on this comment: I had a fairly heated discussion with 2 of my squadron mates yesterday about this topic. I made the exact same point that was made in this comment and their unbelievable response was that because the American people didn't get to see the lawsuit play out (the OJ trial was used as a metaphor), the judges don't get to just make the decision to dismiss the case. They don't trust the the judges are qualified to determine whether the fraud accusations were legitimate or not.

Totally not how the judicial process works, and I'm fairly certain at least some of those judges were Trump appointees, including 3 Supreme Court Justices.
