Events that created the spike? Let’s see, the last spike started in mid October and peaked in mid January. I’m not aware of any significant events associated with that except maybe the season for a seasonal respiratory virus. You’re welcome.Is it science? There was a rapid drop in February, that slowed during March, plateaued out and now covid rates are increasing again.
It is now 25,000 more cases a day than 1st October. I saw that they are now worried about a 4th wave taking off.

As for cases: if they keep dropping, neat. If not, it’s a temporary blip and considering that a large proportion of the vulnerable population has been vaccinated, I doubt there will be a similar increase in hospitalizations or deaths. Thanks for caring about Texas though, I especially like the super zoomed in graph to try to locate bad news.
