I find the NYT has a number of columnists that are worth listening to: Thomas Edsall, David Brooks, Ross Douthat, Bret Stephens and Gail Collins on Monday morning. Same with the The Atlantic still being a good read, Tom Nichols in particular.I have been following Ezra’s work quite a bit since the election. He’s got some pretty good takes, and presents things without being preachy or partisan. He often articulates things in a way that helps me flesh out my own talking points around the never-ending dumpster fire in DC. I don’t agree with him 100% on everything, but he leaves plenty room for the listener to have a differing opinion.
In contrast, the Washington Post has been sinking steadily for a decade (I let my subscription expire after the election.).
