December Board Applicants

BzB:

Thank you for the compliment. What is your experience with the board process? since you think my scores are high.

NavyOffRec:

What kind of chances do you think I have with the above info? Is the 8 PFAR enough to offset the 46 oar, or does the oar even matter for pilot applicants? Thanks!

Experience? No, I've never sat on an OCS selection board; however, I have closely followed these OCS forums for 4+ years, and I have a fairly good idea of what looks good, what's iffy, and what's problematic. I should note that no one here can predict the outcome of these boards with accuracy, we provide take 'em, or leave 'em educated opinions. It is my opinion, that your OAR should not negate your total aviation package, and I've seen lower OAR/ASTB scores pass muster.:)

NavOffRec, your opinion?

I think you have a good chance, from my personal experience I never had an applicant or saw an applicant at my NRD that had an 8 who was not picked up. This of course making the assumption that you have no derogatory info in your background.

Package receipt confirmation. Here we go!

Hello! How did you find out that your package was received and about how long after you submitted your package?
I submitted mine yesterday via CCC, but he is not sure how to find out if it was even received.

I got an email from them saying they received it, and that happened within a few days. I didn't submit via my CCC, or anyone else but myself. Everyone in my chain was informed about it and knew I was submitting, but I didn't want to risk anyone doing it wrong. It seems in the Navy that the more people personally involved increases the risk of something getting lost or submitted wrong. My 2 cents!
