you know what a verbal promise will get you in the military, a story to tell on how you were screwed out of something.
+1 Careful MB, "Mr. Hemi" is thin-skinned and does not respond well to constructive criticism. He'll have extra 'fun' at OCS, or in a ready room environment!

Wouldn't you be frustrated if you felt you were watching your lifes dream go down the drain then people just keep commenting that your screwed with no POSITIVE encouragement?
I shed a single tear.
392Hemi, you can expect no sympathy or slack from this crowd. If you see wings under a username, it means the poster is a bonafide Naval Aviator or Naval Flight Officer. We've seen stories like yours firsthand, more than once. If your situation warranted encouragement or affirmation, you'd have received it by now. Hopefully you get the exception you seek, but collective experience of forum members leads all of us who have been there and done that to think you may not end up where you want.
Probably more then one cause your a softie
English is your strong suit eh?
And that softie has proved his mettle at OCS- what have you done to prove yours?
Constructive criticism time: Don't answer my questions. Just step away from the computer and don't post anything for a while. Let your next post tell us that either A: we are right and you didn't get your contract switched or B: we are wrong and you're now an OCS complete candidate/commissioned 2nd Lt 7599 waiting for TBS.
Do some reading around here. Go to MarineOCS.com and join the forum there.
Alright, i have same situation as this hemi dude. Currently I am a 2nd year in AFROTC (no-contract) aspiring for a pilot slot, but I have also been keeping in touch with my marine OSO. He wants me to apply for NFO contract to start, and once I get back from PLC OCS I can switch to pilot, and ill have two years to do this. He's telling me it will be no problem what so ever. Telling me that guys switch their MOS in PLC all the time. You guys all think hes blowing smoke up my ass to get me to sign? I have a 296, 3.6, and waiting to hear back on ASTB , but Im confident I passed it. Anyone gone this route, or know anyone that has gone this route? Also, does anyone know if he does in fact screw me over and not do as he says if I could just not commission, and apply to ANG units or NAVY ?
