Yes, you can decline your commission. If you took money from the Marine Corps through MCTAP or MCFAP, you better believe they're gonna want it back, though.

Maybe, but you'll probably have to answer a few questions as to why you turned down a commission in another service.

Let your next post tell us that either A: we are right and you didn't get your contract switched or B: we are wrong and you're now an OCS complete candidate/commissioned 2nd Lt 7599 waiting for TBS.

Hey Hemi, I don't think you quite understand what kind of forum this is all about. Not only is this forum filled with current and former Naval Aviators and Naval Flight Officers, but we are all commissioned officers in the Navy and Marine Corps (if I missed another service I'll give you some love another time) ranging from Ensigns and 2nd Lt's to current and former squadron CO's and most likely even higher than that. Show some fucking respect.

You are NOTHING right now and you haven't accomplished anything in the military. All these people have done is try to help you because we have all been through the same process you are going through it and it's not our style to sugarcoating everything.

The best advice anyone can give you right now is don't be a DOUCHEBAG and listen. You may not agree with that statement but your last 5 or so posts have been real disrespectful and made it seem like you were entitled to switching your contract to pilot just because you have been wanting to do it for so long. Obviously not the case. Know that you aren't entitled to a certain thing. Even if you make it all the way through flight school and get winged, a guy like you who thinks he's entitled will earn an awful reputation in a squadron.

If you want to continue to act like an asshole, be my guest, just know you will be torn apart. Your reputation starts here. Shut the fuck up and listen.
