We had to endure a guy like that in VT-4 a few years back (late 90's). Marine O-3 CH-53 pilot there as an NFO primary/interm. IP. Two words to describe him - complete tool. It was a generally accepted fact that even the other instructors didn't like him. Had baseball cards of himself he'd hand out, the whole nine yards... To this day the words "flaming jackass" come to mind. Went out of his way to make things as overly difficult as possible, not from a constructive instructional sort of way either.
