Crimson Tide aint bad.

Horribly horribly horribly unrealistic and overdramatized to boot. In a world of Hunt for Red October, you can't make a sub movie that's supposed to be "realism" and have a piece of turd like that.

Black Hawk down was a damn good movie. Three Kings was another good one. Not a classic like BHD, but still pretty cool.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Apocalypse Now.

Brett

You're a good red blooded American.

And Apocalypse Now.... I don't see that as a war movie. I see it as a fvcked up story SET in a war. I also hate the movie. EXCEPT for some scenes. I mean... come one.... Charlie don't surf.

Yep. Totally. My only wish was they showed the Somali enemy for the animals they really were. They did terrible terrible things not shown in that movie.

Tora, Tora, Tora! - about 1000 times better than that other Pearl Harbor movie.

The Longest Day - D-Day with John Wayne, enuff said.

A Bridge Too Far - James Caan, Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Edward Fox, Elliott Gould, Gene Hackman, Anthony Hopkins, Hardy Kruger, Laurence Olivier, Ryan O'Neal, Robert Redford (basically everyone in 1977)

Battle of Britain - 1969, awesome flying sequences

Bat 21

The Great Escape

I've heard Bravo Two Zero is a great film, about SAS (I believe?) in the Gulf War.

Does it have to be an American military movie? 'Cause I loved Master and Commander.

Band of Brothers is my favorite, though, hands down.
