FY 19 IWC DCO BOARD

Not likely. The Navy made it clear in a new NAVCRUIT 1131/154, rev 05/2016, that requires 18X5 applicants sign a service agreement before commissioning. The only 18X5 officer basic course I have seen being waived "regularly" is reserve NIOBC phase 1, and then the only waiver recipients are prior enlisted Navy IS ratings with EIDWS pin and intel A school. And, that waiver still doesn't get you out of NIOBC phase 2.
@bubblehead Thanks, I spoke to my recruiter today and added intel as a secondary. Several officers I interviewed with last year told my lack of a stem degree even with 20 years of comms experience was going to hurt me. I spit out a full 36 hours of masters work and will have completed my MSCS in September along with my MBA. Certified last month with Sec+, taking the CySA and CFR at the end of this month will attempt to be ready and complete the CISSP before the October deadline for packet submission.
We'll see where it goes this year, but I don't think I have it in me after all that to wait another 12 months for another chance at a commission.

If you're willing to do a career in the reserves you have it in you. This will be my third go at it this year. If I don't get picked up, I'll get more creds and experience. Heck, for those of us on our third and forth attempt, can you honestly say trying to get selected did not make you a better person both professionally and personaally? Stay the course as I am your competition and based on what you shared I need to step my game up, so thanks for that motivation. Stay the course.
The only reason they list a STEM degree as a "pre-requisite" for IP and for INTEL is so they can make the programs appear more "competitive" and thus have their "pick of the litter" so they can then say "X% of our application/commissioning pool has XYX degrees and speaks XYZ languages." A STEM degree will make you no more successful as an IP or INTEL in the Reserve than one with a business degree. It's utter and complete b.s.
It's a marketing ploy.
Strictly speaking for 183X, there is a certain tiny slice of intelligence work that requires pretty rigorous science and math. It cannot and should not be 100% contracted out. Personnel can gain the required scientific expertise without a STEM degree, sure, but their success is less probable and/or may take longer and cost more.
I started as an 183X in 2009... And, no, there are not "tiny slices of intelligence work" that require anything special from a Reserve perspective. I've seen people come to the 183X community from all over the place (Seabee, Teacher, Lawyer, Salesperson), all of whom are "succeeding."

Board in September? I’m being told that the only DCO board scheduled had been for December. Only board for sepetember is a “pro board”, I believe that’s for none restricted officers.

The source of the spreadsheet is BUPERS. Your OR gave you a schedule for FY18, and the new board is a recent addition which is why it's on the FY19 schedule. My OR and other recruiters told me, and it was confirmed on this board by actual Reserve IWC officers (browse the Naval Reserves sub-forum and there's a thread about the September board).
Your OR can't know everything, so you'll have to do some research and ask your OR to confirm for sure. The only reason I didn't get auto-disqualified from the EDO DCO board is I did a lot of my own research (this site itself has been an excellent resource), arm twisting, and tooth pulling and then brought pertinent information to my OR. A couple things she said I didn't really have to worry about would have been auto DQs for me.

Thank you very much for the feedback! Spoke with the OR today, he said he will go ahead and move forwards with the expectations that there’s a September board. He also said, that if this is the case, packets are due two weeks prior to the due date. This is to clear up any last minute obstacles/ questions the medical board might have. Also “new requirement”, I must collect all official medical and pharmaceutical records for the last 5 years. Supposedly the medical board in Millington, TN is now requiring this. Just the 2807 forms is no long sufficient “official copies of all medical records for the last 5 years of any visit”.
