I can say the same for intel going to engineers for the last two years. No offense to anyone, but experience helps in some fields. No offense but so tired of these non Seabee rates getting CEC before our own community!

Could you pm me? I applied for HR primary and Core secondy and I was an alternate for Core, but nothing for HR. Any advice you could give is much appreciated.only two for HR this year....AND I WAS ONE OF THEM!!!! I think I am going to throw up!!!!
Wow that is fantastic. Although I don't know you I am very happy for you, it is nice to see good things happen for good people in the Navy. This is a heck of an accomplishment for you, make sure to take it all in and enjoy it. Congratulations again!it was, and thank-you! We were just wrapping up my farewell... I enlisted into the IRR and listened to a ton of people at my command say all these nice and mushy words about me. It was a potluck and everyone had already started eating when the CAPT walked in and announced to everyone that "the Navy had seen the error in it's ways and I was selected for STA-21"! UNBELIEVEABLE!
I just looked at the new presentation on the STA21 website. Wow. They broke down statistics to show what kind of sat scores there were, age groups selected, rank selected, etc....

Kevin, I'm pretty sure the reenlistment will have to be done as a precondition for executing your orders and reporting to NSI. The length of the contract depends on your option and should have been listed in the statement of understanding you sent in with your package. What college are you attending? To all the previous selectees or anyone that might know..... I got picked up FY12 SWO Primary. My EAOS is July2012. I know that I'll have to extend/re-enlist but what I don't know is do I do that before I get to NSI, before I get to my college, or before my EAOS after I get to my NROTC Unit? Also, would I just be extending/re-enlisting the 36 months for college? So out to July 2015? Thanks for any help.

Didn't see anything, links pls. Thanks.
@Visononeb, thanks for the reply. I honestly think you had me at the boards. Most of mine were NFO's one EDO But he was a LCDR and my NOM was a bunch of random SWO's. Maybe next time I Should go NFO, lol. Sucks being a combat system guy without any dedicated officer pipeline. I have to try in other areas that puts me at a disadvantage...
Does anyone know how they determine where to put you in between when you graduate from NSI and the time you actually start school?
Thanks. We will start NSI, according to the message, 19 Feb. So we'll be done around April. That leaves some time to kill until school starts in August. In the past, NSI was timed so it ends just in time for you to arrive at your school and start school. They've had two different NSI classes because of BOOST (no longer exists) and the larger amount of selectees. The early class would start college classes in the Summer. The later NSI class would start in the Fall. Given the low number of selectees this cycle I wouldn't be surprised if there were only one NSI class. So, to answer your question, it will probably be timed so you don't have (or very much) wasted time in between NSI and school. Whatever time you do have until classes start will be spent with your NROTC unit doing whatever they need/want you to do. My unit makes the OCs work from 0800-1200 when we are not in class.
BTW, congrats to all! If anyone is going to the University of Kansas let me know!!
