Monday is still a possibility, yes. But from what I understand, that list gets a THOROUGH scrubbing before the finished product is released.

And your boy wont even tell you if you made or not, such a shame. I guess you couldn't tell us if he did or not cause that might cause some trouble. Of course if you feel like asking your YN2 friend to look for MM1 Van Ostenbridge, and then send me a private message, I wouldn't mind. ;)

I took your advise omararw, and I just checked the STA-21 brief, I started to get excited because eventhough it still says FY-12, someone is in there making edits today. If you look at the bottom left corner of the slides you will notice that it says 10/12/2012. We are in the final stretch now, I guess it will be anyday now.

That updated date is an automatic thing. Download it tomorrow and it will have that date, etc. I thought the same thing last year.

Does it take more than a day to make up a message, I'm MM type so I don't know these kinds of things. I would think you are spot on for Monday if he is working on it right now?

My job on the Sub deals with message traffic. After the message is drafted (takes 30 minutes or so), it gets routed through the CoC, then released by the CO. I've been able to route messages in less than an hour, but I've also dealt with officers that hold on to messages for days until they have time to review them. This type of message wouldn't get many changes to content, so I would assume it would route fairly quickly.

Exactly. And you never know what your chain already has going on on there desk. Just know that we will be getting the message SOON. And as far as him giving any hints as to who made it-- anyone who mentions that kind of information before the message comes out can get into a lot of trouble.

Instead of thinking "When is that message on the desk going to be released?" we should all be thinking "Man, I hope my name is on that list!".
The wait the second time, in my opinion, is not as bad as the first time. The anticipation is the best part, unless of course your name is on that list.

I agree. The wait hasn't been as bad this time around. Well, up until my wife started talking to me about "[She] better be the first one to know", and "How are you going to tell the rest of our family?".

That just puts a lot of pressure on me, ya know?

Last year there was only one Supply Corps selectee, so I'm really trying to be optomistic and realistic at the same time... which is tough.

I really thought this would be my last attempt at STA-21 (mainly due to age), but I've just decided that I'll give it at least one more shot (I'll have to try INTEL) before I start looking/preparing for LDO.

Yeah I coughed up the money and got accepted to Penn State, Citadel is automatic and didn't really have a third choice just U of Maryland. What about you?

University of Minnesota and University of Oklahoma. I didn't know University of Maryland was on the NROTC list. I must have checked that thing 10 times. If it's not too late, I may send my transcripts there and see if I can still make the change (pending selection of course). Are you planning to start in the Summer or Fall of FY13?

I know it was probably a bad idea, but I really didn't want to apply anywhere in fear of "Jinxing" myself...
