I wouldn't worry about it. Think about how many Priors, Reservist and ROTC show up with their haircuts that they've sported for many years. It's all coming off in a matter of days anyway....
 
I wouldn't do it I wasn't a prior, but thats just me. I think of it like those idiots who wear dogtags and aren't even in the military....
Just don't draw attention to yourself.

what, you mean it's not cool to play beach volleyball wearing jeans, aviator sunglasses, no shirt and dog tags while listening to 80's music?... :p
 
well i cut my hair myself and have had it high and tight for a while, sometimes a mohawk for sports, but i figured i might get s*** for it so i was going to let it grow out.
 
I've had a "high-and-tight" for many months--that's just the way I like my hair--but I hear the DIs hate that sh**. Will that just draw negative attention at PLC?
 
Get a high and tight right before you report and wear one of those green USMC shirts with the Officer Candidate school on the back. Also, you should probably go ahead and get a giant eagle globe and anchor tatoo right on your forearm.
 
i was a cheap-ass before i got to jr's and figured that i would get my hair cut anyway, so i didn't cut it for about a month, i went down there with a nasty ass FRO, i'm chinese mind you... i was the only one without a mil-spec buzz it seemed. I heard the snickering amoungst the staff and finally when i sat down for my cut, Pershall(barber) went right up the middle and all i can see what the SI's holdin in their laughter... get a decent cut

If you can't take that amount of good natured ripping your not going to make it man. You better get some thicker skin and learn to take a joke.
 
For everyone else the only reason I made that joke is because everyone that showed up at PLC-C last year unless they were a prior with a high and tight got laughed at. So you guys can do what you want but I suggest going with a conservative short haircut or you can expect to be the butt end of a few S.I. jokes a lot harsher than what I wrote about flynglthrnk.
