This is self-licking ice cream cone logic. Have mooks with dubious ties attack the nation's premier law enforcement agency for years. Have numerous media orgs do the same (again, the FBI is an inherently traditionally conservative org...it's wild to suggest otherwise). Then, wonder why people's opinions have morphed after there have been wild accusations of the FBI somehow coordinating J6. Also, spare us all talk of Strock/Page.Agree to disagree (and again I am not explicitly saying that about the FBI, just that that is an opinion many have)
Not everyone who thinks the FBI has issues with corruption thinks they did things like plot J6.This is self-licking ice cream cone logic. Blagojevich deserved prison time, but IMO not the length of sentence he got.Glad to see Rod Blagojevich was pardoned for his corruption convictions. Also, DOJ dropping charges against NYC Mayor Adams. Really refreshing news...![]()
What is this rampant corruption in the FBI that you speak of? Lay it out.Not everyone who thinks the FBI has issues with corruption thinks they did things like plot J6.
Blagojevich deserved prison time, but IMO not the length of sentence he got.
"I" am not saying the FBI is corrupt, just that there are many who'd make that argument. I don't know enough myself on the issue, but can be open to such. What is this rampant corruption in the FBI that you speak of? Lay it out.
Sorry, I got the word "pardon" mixed up with when he had his sentence commuted by Trump. I don't know if he should have literally been given a pardon as he just was. But I do agree with Trump commuting his original sentence, as IMO fourteen years just for trying to sell a Senate seat seemed a lot.So, why was Blagojevich pardoned? You could make similar arguments for a lot of dudes in prison. Why was he absolved of his corruption? Show your work. It's ridiculous...but I'd like to see your logical argument.
It's really hard having a relevant convo/debate on here when you resort to the "many people are saying" argument."I" am not saying the FBI is corrupt, just that there are many who'd make that argument. I don't know enough myself on the issue, but can be open to such.

@PhrogPhlyer care to respond? I think you're being called out as a boomer snowflake. I saw you referenced NewsMax in one of your posts. Interesting. Not sure where your self-pity is coming from. I don’t think @cfam or anyone else was disregarding your opinion. Maybe there was a deleted post I missed?
Mr. Musk believes humanity on Earth is doomed and marches to the beat of his own ketamine-fueled “hero’s journey” drum. That person mucking around in government’s guts should have everyone concerned. Particularly after watching what he did to Twitter.
Fair point. It's really hard having a relevant convo/debate on here when you resort to the "many people are saying" argument.
Just seems overly severe. But you'd probably have to lock up half of Congress if you really looked into them. And Blagojevich is not a partisan thing for me. I'd have been fine if Obama had say commuted his sentence. There's a reason people of public trust should be maxed out for abusing that trust. Surprising, that you would argue against that...Maybe not, bc I see how you rationalize everything for partisan means.
I don't know how deep the rabbit hole goes, and I don't think many people do. But former NYPD commissioner Thomas Donlon's case raises a lot of questions. What is this rampant corruption in the FBI that you speak of? Lay it out.

Did the weaponized Biden DOJ really prosecute Sen Menendez (D-NJ) and send his ass to a lengthy prison sentence? YesJust seems overly severe. Like what? you speak of rabbit holes and vague shit.I don't know how deep the rabbit hole goes, and I don't think many people do. But former NYPD commissioner Thomas Donlon's case raises a lot of questions.
I'd have to see his specific crimes. Blagojevich did eight years before getting his sentence commuted.Did the weaponized Biden DOJ really prosecute Sen Menendez (D-NJ) and send his ass to a lengthy prison sentence? Yes
I'm sure he'll figure out a way to angle for a pardon too.
Cool Cool...my dude had gold bars from Egypt in his closet.I'd have to see his specific crimes. Blagojevich did eight years before getting his sentence commuted.

I am no fan of Blago, just fourteen years for trying to sell a Senate seat seemed excessive to me. Now if he'd been caught trying to sell national security secrets to the Iranians or something, that would be different.Cool Cool...my dude had gold bars from Egypt in his closet.
So, I guess you're a Blagojevich corruption fan, and he demonstrated a lot of mitigating factors in that conviction?
