I mean, I know the SECNAV isn’t a gazillionaire like the Mav, but damn can’t he buy a suit that actually fits? Dude looks like he’s wearing a burlap sack dyed gray. 😬😐
It's kind of like when you were a kid, and your mom bought. you pants way too big before school so you'd grow into them...same concept.

Just kidding. Are they still sending studs to Vance these days? Just a retired dude wondering…

To answer your question, no. Navy Students are no longer sent to Vance. The only Navy presence at Vance is the small cadre of Navy IPs who are there teaching USAF students at UPT. It’s an “exchange” program if you will since the USAF sends their IPs to teach SNAs at TW-5 in Milton.

Yup. Pretty impressive for a bunch of 17 and 18 year olds. They've also finished first in the national drill competition almost every year since its inception.
Norwich has a MUCH better drill team . . .

OK, i'm a bit biased. My son qualified for the Shock Platoon during his Rook year at Norwich, and performed on the team for his entire tenure at Norwich. Texas A&M was always a fierce competitor, but sweet Jesus, the pomp and circumstance surrounding their uniforms and boots was a bit much. IIRC, Texas can only participate in drill during their freshman year, but they do have an impressive program . . .
