I'd vote for Turd Furgason if I thought he would best represent the country.
Turd Ferguson gets my vote!

SERIOUSLY??....Seriously, are you all that riled up over a middle name? ....
What's that got to do with anything?? That's weak, Cate, especially since you knew exactly what I referred to ....."Muslim-derivative," hmm? I don't suppose you mean "Arabic," "Arabic" being a language and "Muslim" being a religion, since Muslims speak all different languages and not all Arabs are Muslim?....
Not saying that it has anything to do with anything -- except that I don't really understand what you're trying to imply with "Muslim-derivative." Are you saying that because he has a Muslimmy name, he shouldn't be elected president? If you don't want to vote for him, there are plenty of reasons not to; that one's just really, really weak. What's that got to do with anything?? I thought I'd make it clear I wouldn't vote for a lightweight lefty like Obama. No qualifiers needed. Period.......Are you saying that because he has a Muslimmy name, he shouldn't be elected president? Why would he? He's not Iraqi.I guess Hussein prefers the Iraqi national anthem...
So raptor, just out of curiousity, what does placing your hand over your heart during the Anthem mean to you? Since you posted that picture, I presume you want us to garner an understanding about Obama since he failed to place his hand over his heart.
It is a sign of respect and deference. I don't know what is happening in the picture, I assume either the Pledge of Allegiance is being said or the National Anthem is being sung. Either way, Obamaman (and Amen on A4's characterization of "lightweight". Hit the nail on the head.) is disinterested.
The flag is nothing more than a piece of cloth to some, to others it is a whole lot more. I would like a president who, even if he does not respect the flag and what it stands for, is at least smart enough to show respect for the flag out of respect for those who think it is more than cloth.
You prolly don't get it...
