July 2013 and/or Rolling Board

no difference in cutoff between AD and non AD, the processor could have been mistaken, or NRC could have closed it early, they have done that before with no notice as they do not have to go by the schedule cutoff dates.

The last times they have done a early cutoff was because they board said they only wanted to review XXX number of application so when that was reached they closed it out.

Fair enough - I did see that comment in the other thread, but didn't seem like anyone else had run into that issue. When he said the news came from the "fleet processor" I figured it must be a bottleneck for AD applicants. I suppose we'll find out soon either way...

I know it’s a little premature, but have any you guys started a swimming regiment yet? I know there’s a one mile swim in a flight suit when we get to API so I have been contemplating on busting out some major laps in the pool before I go to OCS (grated we get picked up). Has anyone thought this far ahead yet or am I just sweating it for no reason because the swim should be a walk in the park by the time we get to API?
Thoughts??
I have actually gone though aircrew survival school with the dunk tank etc. For that you only swim a hundred meters or so in full flight suit helmet boots etc...its rough....you aviation guys will wanna hit the pool whenever you get access to it...that short swim was doable but a mile would suck...you just need to be really comfortable in the water and not freak out when doing things while holding your breath etc

Correct me if im wrong but isnt the running suppose to be a two mile timed?

PRTs per service

Air Force
1 min push ups, 1 min sit ups, 1.5 mile run
Navy
2 min push ups, 2 min sit ups, 1.5 mile run
Marines
Max pullups, 2 min sit ups, 3 mile run

Does anyone know exactly what happens next week? My OR said he would let me know and sometimes it takes a few days past the board date. Confirm/deny?

so.... next week...

1. We get an email from our recruiter? "Sry you suck, burn in hell" or "Congratulations your are ______"
Is this where we get Pro-req? or Final Select? I know my package is at the board, does this mean I'm already pro-req?

2. After (fingers crossed) an initial confirmation, what is the next step? We don't get our OCS class date at the same time right? How long till we raise our right hand?

Thank you and best of luck to everyone

I got a good laugh out of question one. The board convenes on that date but results usually don't get sent out until a couple days or even weeks later. Since your packet is at the board it has been Pro-Boarded. If you get a Pro-Y it means you were professionally recommended for your designator, 13xx or whatever. After notification of a Pro-Y it usually takes several weeks to get a Final Select, which you then hopefully accept and swear in. You would also usually get your OCS report date around then as well (maybe earlier?). Although getting a Pro-Y is no guarantee you'll get a FS, usually it's the case that you do, as long as you PQ through N3M. There have been some instances of getting an FS and OCS date later than normal, but lets hope for a quick turnaround here. Good luck!

Also your investigation has to me opened for a final select and most NRD's don't submit the SF86 and fingerprints till after a PRO-Y. Which takes getting a final select longer.

So I have already done the medical and the SF86/prints; theoretically, if I get picked up, I should have a fairly quick turnaround?
