Do you care to elaborate who your source is?
Just spoke to the OCS help desk and they said that they did meet... Here are a couple numbers for someone else to verify but please be mindful, I am sure they have better things to do rather than field a ton of phone calls from us.From a contact at NRD who has lots of connections.
It did convene!
No hate, just... speculation = verification... said no person ever.Everyone is going to hate me for this post, but I have it on good authority that the board did NOT meet as scheduled yesterday. My source believes that it is just a delay, but will be updating me.
Please don't.I will post updates if I get any.
Short citcuits, disconnect!!From a contact at NRD who has lots of connections.
Good news & good luck to allIt did convene!
Good words... concur.I will come off as an ass although that is not my intention...we all just need to calm the f**k down. I know this process is exciting as I am excited to hear some news. But calling OCS help for information on a board we dont control is a little much. I agree with BleedGreen in not calling. This is the Navy if we are fortunate to be selected this wont be the only time we wait for news. Good luck to everyone if the board did or did not convene, but we all need to relax a little bit haha.![]()
I hope not. I'm 28, but my recruiter never showed much concern, he knew I would be in before turning 29. All he's ever said is you got a strong packet and a good shot.Does anyone think that age plays a big factor in the selection process? Meaning, they select the younger individuals over the boarderline applicants...

My OR said the same thing about my package, but I'm prior with 10+ years in and just hit 30... Im shooting for NFOI hope not. I'm 28, but my recruiter never showed much concern, he knew I would be in before turning 29. All he's ever said is you got a strong packet and a good shot.
I cannot think of any reason why a younger applicant would be preferred (or vice versa), when both are within the acceptable age range. Consider that commercial A/L have well qualified pilots flying regularly at ages much older than active military pilots. One advantage of the upper age limit is that the pilot can enjoy a successful military career to retirement, then if desired, be at an age for a full 2nd career.Does anyone think that age plays a big factor in the selection process?
