Ummmm......on here :-D
Where? You need to put it in context. It doesn't show up on a search of AW so are you sure of spelling and, if so, that you read it here?
Ummmm......on here :-D
I think it is Surface Search & ControlAgree, but I believe SSC used to mean "Surface Search Coordination"
Someone?
Anyone?
Bueller?
That is what I can't remember, the context. I made the list in one window as I was browsing AW in another. I 'll see if I can find the thread.
I'm not sure they put as much on it as you think. However, they do favor guys with PPL's when it comes to selecting pilots for Euro-Nato Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT). ENJJPT is a different animal, although we may see it "normalize" over the next few years. If you want to know more about ENJJPT, let me know. Why does the Air Force place a lot of importance on having flight hours prior to trying to get a pilot slot, where as the Navy and Marines don't seem to mind an applicant having no flight time?
It's a pretty good bet that you're right. I've never seen DCM used as an acronym, mainly ASE (Aircraft Survivability Equipment). However, I have seen DECM (Defensive Electronic Counter Measures)...I proclaim that it stands for Defensive Counter Measures, as I have spoken so shall it be...
Something tells me that the ASE on the Phrog was around long before the ASE of the MACCS...ASE? Did someone say my name? Oh, wait, wrong ASE. You guys can't just go take my acronyms.
DCM...Department of Civilian Marksmanship.
O.K., O.K. ... now I get it. You're just taunting me .... taunting the ol' man .... as THAT kid is only 12 years old !!! It's a freakin' TIGER CRUISE !!!
**sigh***
Not to be a prick, but I think it's Director of Civilian Marksmanship. Part of the CMP (See, another acronym... heehee:icon_tong) that is explained here.
