May boards

Anyone still playing the wait game for Intel or Supply? We should start hearing some news regarding these boards soon, right?

Yup, Intel/Supply/IW results are yet to be out. I'm waiting on IW, specifically. I imagine we will find out late this week or early next week.

Just got the call this morning. Pro rec'd SNA, SNFO, SWO and I'm going to go SNA. I haven't posted my stats yet so here they are...

M 23
52 6/8/7
B.A. History, University of Texas at Austin 2.95 GPA, 3.5 major GPA
Minors: gov, bio, Persian
Held three executive board positions in my fraternity
No prior flight time
LOR's: 3 employers, 2 character refs from 0-5 Air Force and 0-4 Navy family friends (both pilots), 1 from former professor
1 interview with a Supply 0-6

To everyone out there, I'm proof that even if you're GPA sucks, there is still hope. Congrats to everyone who got picked up and to all those still waiting don't lose hope.

I was wondering if anyone has talked to their OR about how many people were selected for this months sna board.

Does anyone know anything about the security interview? I spoke to my OR and did my MEPS forms and I am doing the physical fitness test this weekend. He said they would do the background check but I hear a lot of other people talking about a security interview. Do I have to meet with someone or does the FBI start the investigation themselves?

Automatic doors make me feel like a Jedi
As long as we're on the subject of MEPS and NAMI (Got a chill just typing that) What about food allergies? I've researched the threads and they have a ton of stuff about dust, pollen, cats, dogs, etc. but nothing on food allergies. I'm Lactose intolerant and I have the records on it. I've been dealing with it for 7 years now and I think I have it pretty handled. I simply don't eat any dairy. I don't even miss cheese (which ppl for some reason either find hard to believe or hilarious. I do miss ice cream.) I'm an avid label/nutrition facts reader so I don't have any mishaps. I'm might have trouble when the DIs force us to eat cheese or I finally crack over the complimentary ice cream cone we get during our first flight but overall I don't think its a prob. Unless they have fondu night at the mess hall .

Check out this thread over on USNavyOCS that was just recently discussed. The OP was curious about lactaid pills.

Talked to my OR and he still hasn't heard...
If anyone has access to the list and would be willing to let me know, I'd appreciate it.

There is something vaguely ironic about shooting for intelligence and remaining ignorant about one's fate vis-à-vis the board's decision.
