Pro-rec'd INTEL!!!!!
I had a snowboarding accident... Good luck!

Oh that doesn't sound so bad! Someone else told me something similar, but my OR seems to think this is like the end of the world. I asked him if I could use the records of the evaluations I have every time I go to my current eye doctor, and he said they would be useful, but probably not enough. We'll see what happens- I'll do everything I within my control, and just have to hope for the best I guess. Thanks for sharing!

I have no idea why I can't find this info...but what are the minimums for PRT for SNA? Does it have to be a good low? Or is satisfactory ok?

You should be able to search this pretty easily, there is a chart outlining all the scores. And you should be shooting to be good high or excellent low before you arrive at OCS. Satisfactory marginal might get you in the door at OCS but if your fitness level isnt beyond it then the DIs will have a field day with you and wear you down to the point wear you fail at other things cause your tired. I'd be less worried about the minimums for passing and more concerned with how far you can push yourself with the time remaining before you go.

You should want to be in the greatest physical shape. As an officer, I would want to be better than everyone else. If I'm not at the top, then I know I still have a ton of work to do. Just my thoughts. Take them constructively.

With further research I found this information on the OCS website.
https://www.netc.navy.mil/nstc/otcn/Schoolhouses/OCS/Military_Training.htm

"Physical Training: There are three Physical Fitness Assessments (PFA) at OCS, the Indoctrination PFA, Mid-PFA and the Out-PFA. The passing requirements are Satisfactory-Medium for the In-PFA, Satisfactory-High for the Mid-PFA and Good-Low for the Out-PFA. There is no access to weight equipment during the first 9 weeks of training."

Look up your age group and you'll find the proper minimums.

Woah! Everyone wanted to weigh in on that one. Yeah that's what I was looking at earlier, however my OR was telling me it was something like 60 pu and 80 su, which doesn't match up.

And everyone else...thanks for the errr, motivation? but you're missing the point. I want to know what standard I need to meet to be accepted into my program. I never said anything about noit doing my best.....God knows I'm out of shape though!

For the PRT/PFA within 30 days of OCS you must reach "Good-low or you don't go" so that could be what your OR was referring to although I still don't think that is 60 pu and 80 cu.

Oh, good deal. I wonder if it is the same for BDCP. If I would've known any better when I started this whole process, I think I would've requested to do MEPS and everything first. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess...(much better than my eyesight anyway, which is the main problem)

I've been told by my OR, that if I am accepted for BDCP, good-low is the minimum and sit-and-reach is not part of the test initially. I'm not sure if this means I will have to do it at my last PRT or what. I would assume I would have to do this before OCS as it is part of the in-PRT
