How do they know you had 9 speeding tickets? I don't recall anywhere on the application asking to specify traffic violations.

Page 2 on the APSR says to list any violations. Also, on the SF-86 it asks to list anything going back 7 years. For anything involving a waiver, ALL TRAFFIC TICKETS need to be listed. The CO should not be the first people to know a traffic ticket you failed to mention.

I do recall the SF86 having that but I didn't think the selection board reads the whole thing.

I must have an outdated APSR or something, it doesn't ask for speeding violations just ask about: crime involving drugs and alcohol, use of illegal drugs, domestic violence, and bankruptcy. I hope my version is still valid for my application package

Traffic violations count as a crime. You broke the law.

The board does not give a reason of non selection, I would say the tickets may have been a factor, that along with the so so GPA and the average ASTB scores may have all combined to lead to a Pro N.

63 7/7/7 is considered average? My OR was encouraging anyone who scored higher than a 50 to apply.

Thank you for the reference RUFiO.
I will reapply either way, but I would just like to know if these tickets are insurmountable and all my further efforts futile?

not the OAR, the PFAR, FOFAR, and AQR, those are what the aviation board really cares about, things have shifted a bit now that you need a PQ letter to apply, so now the numbers of those applying are lower but still over the past say 8 years getting picked up with a 5 or 6 was slim, 7 was 50/50 and 8 or 9 was good to go!

I am not disputing that, I just haven't seen a section on the APSR where it asks about traffic violations. Here is what it looks like on mine, for what it's worth my APSR was revised on 03-2012, I don't know if they have changed since then.

Traffic violations are a crime which then falls into 9a. 9a wants to know all crimes as well as anything that's drug or alcohol related.

A PQ letter is what N3M issues saying you are qualified to be an officer, MEPS just gives a physical so N3M can review it.

*Sigh* Looks like I'll have to call my OR tomorrow to make sure that I have a PQ letter. I hate being a pest to my OR but I really want to make sure I have a COMPLETE application, my biggest fear is making the board and my package being incomplete.

It is part of the process, once they get the MEPS physical it is forwarded to get an N3M letter
