If you live close to Jax, try and drive your own car there. When I did my 1/c cruise at North Island, my friend had a car and it was great for both hitting the town and getting to the NEX without walking.
I'm sure the cruise checklist tells you to bring just about every uniform you own...but you'll never touch any of them since the squadron will probably give you a bag when you get there so you can play pilot.
Bring your sunscreen and bathing suit for all the time you'll have for the beach. Most days I was at home by around noon. I saw all the summer movies and caught a lot of padres baseball games.
