sorry, I'm slightly biased - my dad was an RF-4C WSO.
my dad was crazy and took the family over "there" when i was 1 or 2..so around '83 we went to visit my family in Shiraz (a city in Iran) and we have a couple pics of iraqi aircraft overflying the city to go bomb targets near Shiraz..not sure what targets, and there is another pic they took from a park in the outskirts of the city and you can see tracer fire going into the sky since it was in the evening. i really dont know what my dad was thinking...my parents were 25-26 at the time and my mom is a blonde hair, blue eyed american and in the early 80's i dont think the natives were very friendly around then....
