Aside from being a well maintained, clean, touristy, scenic city, why exactly does San Fran trump a crime-ridden cesspool like New Orleans. Bonus points if you can avoid referencing liberals or gays.

I believe Mardi Gras originated in Mobile. New Orleans was not the original city to host it.

My stupid a$$ would look at those numbers and say, "Damnit. What am I doing wrong here? These winds just don't make sense. 175 kt gusts? No way, I HAVE to be reading this wrong."

You know what? The METAR may look bad, but can you imagine the TAF for tomorrow? What's the code for submerged runways?
