My Latest Purchase (or just pictures of your current guns)

Unfortunately, no. Live about 30 miles Northeast of Graceland. Sights not particularly a big deal. Might use it for 3 gun or just fun at the range. Still use my 43 for carry but considering a Sig P365 once the prices come down and I actually try one. (just reading lots of goods about it)
Aw. Well, let me know. Even after I leave here for the Navy, I'll still have connections.

@FrankTheTank have you looked at Glock's Blue Label pricing at participating dealers in your area? Or hell, other states and just pay the transfer fee. There's no set pricing, but typically BL pricing is around $100 less (+/-). You'll have to read the rules...I forget your status (retired vs. separated), but it might be the answer.

That's why she should buy them now and then she can import them when/if she PCS'es there. I'm too lazy to look, but not sure if either the 42 or 43 is on CA's approved list to buy in-state.

No, those are unicorns over here; definitely buy before coming to CA. That being said, about 80% of the time I'm grabbing my Glock 43 when going out. I grab my 19 when I have a few more clothes, and a LCP when I'm wearing less.

I haven’t.. Buy mostly online and ship to FFL and been able to beat prices. But thanks.. Might get one sooner than later.. But dammit, I like rifles, but keep getting these friggin handguns...

Are you not retired? I would look into the Blue Label program.
GT Distributors is a good place to look. Order online AND get BL pricing. Although the pricing has gone up a bit the last year or two.

Good advice, GT is a good company to work with, and have retail locations in the Atlanta metro area as well as in Austin Texas. We sell our Glocks to them about every 7-10 years, so you can go the used route and get a good gun for a little cheaper than the BL price. The guts can be replaced very cheaply, you won;t find many police trades ins that are really worn out.

You would qualify for the Blue Label price, many, but not all, Glock retailers participate.

My latest safe queen. Still gotta find a time to actually go shoot it (it's unfired).

Does a flash hider have any useful function...uh...other than hiding the flash, I guess? Does it help control muzzle jump or anything that might help in rapid fire? Just curious...seriously.

I had a SF MB556 muzzle brake/comp and the flash, debris, and deafening consussion to anyone adjacent was not the most neighborly of traits at the range. The three prong flash hiders are suposed to be supperior at minimizing flash, while not adding noise. I dont believe there is any recoil effect mitigation. Will test fire this weekend and let you know

There is zero muzzle flip or recoil assistance. Surefire also makes a "Warcomp" that gives nearly the same amount of flash reduction with some minor braking action to help with muzzle flip. I have one but I'm not overly impressed with the reduction. Typically people will time it so it pushes left, which I also don't like and is a weird feeling, so I timed mine vertically. But since people don't shoot back at me, I prefer the only-slightly-more flashy closed-tine flash hider on short guns since it gives a bit more "energy" to counter the flip but isn't as obnoxious as the muzzle brake.

But the brake is going to maximize your reduction. I absolutely love my SF brakes on my competition guns...range neighbors be damned. Plus flash hiders cause legal hoops to jump through in CA, so it may cause some heartache for you, Renegade.
