Ahh okay. Well I guess all I can do is try my best to get through the medical stuff as much as possible. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. I just hope there's nothing wrong with my body I don't know about. I mean I had knee surgery, but I can't suspect that my SNA slot gets redesignated to another spot because of that. And ill be completely happy with redesignating to NFO or SWO, but it would suck to find out there's something wrong with me that I don't know about now that would keep me from achieving the goal.

And as for attrition, I intend on studying my @$$ OFF to ensure I'm not apart of that 15-20% washout stat.

It's not all academics. There are a lot of reasons for attrition. It's not just academics. Good luck

And don't get me wrong, but I understand that there are some issues in some peoples lives that make it extremely difficult. But all I can do is help myself out, and others out by getting to where we want to go! An excellent team effort and good study habits will go far!

But again, this of course comes off getting through the medical exam first at OCS.

I'd kill to hear something back about my clearance at this point. I'm still waiting to swear in as well, is it June 23rd yet?

Wait, John, so you have your FS letter...right? I thought the FS letter was given after all FINDOCS were submitted? The background check is going to be the death of us man lol.

I asked my processor to email me mine this morning, since I have to put in my two weeks Friday I'd like it to present to my employer. He said my FS letter was what my OCS date came from so I'm assuming so. I'll let you know when I get it in an email. The background doesn't have to be completed until you need it (for your program school). I'm not worried about that at all.

Oh okay yeah I'm not too overly concerned about it. But my OR tells me he's waiting on mine to come back for whatever reason? Who knows? I have a sit down interview tomorrow with two investigators. Maybe not too long after that is when I'll hear something.

Let me know how that goes, I'm interested in why I haven't got a call or anything about mine.

Wrapped up my investigation interview about 2 hours ago man. It went well. They just asked to get some friend references, double checked all of my employment locations, etc. I feel pretty confident my FS letter should come in soon... hopefully.

Nice bro, congratulations. Have you sworn in yet?

No not yet unfortunately. I honestly don't know what is happening right now with my FS letter and the background stuff. I hope it ends soon! I want to have that letter in hand!

I think only if you've been documented as having sought psychiatric treatment.

Negative, last word I got was they do psych consults for a range of discrepancies. From changing jobs often to getting in trouble at school, nanny stuff IMO. As long as you have good documentation from a good doc you should be fine (that is assuming they do let you screen).

Well Petty Officer advancements were released today....maybe the rest of us could get some good news too? :p lol

The most maddening part about this whole process is waiting in the holding pattern for an OCS date/Final Select and they're still airing those g*damn commercials on television.
