Still waiting to hear back from N3M about my depth perception. Failed it at MEPS, only to have 25 seconds of arc at a civilian optometrist. I hope that paperwork is done by the presumptive "Friday deadline".

28/m
Prior AT2(AW) 5 years active duty
BS in Aeronautics 3.67 GPA
5/6/5 OAR 49
In for SNA/SNFO

Hope we know soon either way. Hopefully sooner than later for me, being that I'm 28 and time is not on my side for SNA.

I feel your pain,

28/m
Georgia State University, Finance degree 2.9 gpa (completed in 3 years should have took my time)
University of New Orleans graduate school
Prior DC2(SW/AW) 4.5 years on USS Tarawa
ASTB 56 7/7/7

This is my first and last shot at SNA. Applying for SNFO and SWO as well. Good luck to everyone applying to the next board.

Talked to my processor this morning, he's always extremely helpful, and he said they have released no information on a special board date yet so I should just be looking to July for a board. If anyone has heard anything else feel free to share.

There is a new post today on the Texas Navy website (http://recruitingcommand.com/texasnavy/) that talks about new board results being out for an "AC Pilot/NFO" board. I'm assuming they are using the acronym AC to signify "Active Component". No telling if this was a actually an OCS selection board that just took place. Did anyone here get a phone call from their OR? I am still waiting for my DD-368 to come back signed so I know my app wasn't at this board IF it was an OCS board. This could be evidence of rolling style boards taking place, or reviewing applications as they arrive style boards.

I saw this too, I was taking it as discussing the last results from the march 4 boards. If it was an ocs selection board, we should hear something back next week if anyone was in fact selected for ocs.

No telling, there is so much mixed news out in the air right now about boards. If it was one I am just hoping that another will take place because I am waiting for something to be signed by Pers-9 and it is really frustrating, because it's out of my control. I know I'm not alone on this though.

Agreed that there is too much grey info floating around. I have my fingers crossed for you that your stuff gets into the next board whenever fit is, you would think they would make it a little easier in us active and prior service guys. Best of luck to you though, I'm sure you'll get the shot at the next board.

Thanks man I appreciate it. Your confidence gives me confidence. I wish the best of luck to you as well. My processor expected it to show up a few days ago but I don't think it has yet because she hasn't e-mailed me to update or anything. I keep fighting the urge to call my processor haha..... I would hate to be "that guy" who is constantly checking on stuff etc.

I call my processor or OR each Friday. That way they only hear from me twice a month but I get weekly updates. I don't want to be "that guy" either. I dropped them each off a bottle of "distilled brown water" as a thank you as well when my package went in. I can say with out a doubt the earned it by getting my stuff moved quick after a bad experience with another OR.

That's a good idea. I would probably drop off a gift or something like that but I live over an hour and a half from my OR and Processor's office. I can do that the next time I am down in Seattle when the next board results come out and I get selected.... haha, just optimistically thinking. I can say that they have both been great on helping me get my stuff in luckily.

Not a great idea publish this if your NRD is known, I personally know of a CPO that had not good things happen when a gift like this was found, not saying it isn't something that isn't appreciated, just don't put it out there or put it out there a different way, see above, hint hint.
