Navy Reserves Opportunities for Veterans

timothy muniz

US Navy Reserve Officer Recruiter
Hello Everyone!

I have just taken over as the Permanent Reserve Officer Recruiter in the Southeast region (Florida, Puerto Rico, & Virgin Islands). My office is located in Tampa. I’m searching primarily for prior service Officers that want to come back but in a Navy Reserves capacity. If you want to discuss the programs available or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to fielding any questions you might have!

Are you a LT or LTJG? In this post you say LT, but in previous responses a few mins prior you're an O-2.

I guess I'm kind of retired, but subject to recall I guess.

1) Can I work from home?

2) Do I ever have to get on a boat?
Sadly we don’t process retired Officers. A great example of a prime candidate would be an officer that FOSed twice and was forced out of the Navy. The current Naval reserves directive allows for two additional reconsideration boards for promotion on top of the two Failure Of Selection (FOS).

Shucks...I'll look into plan B I guess then

Cutting wood at Home Depot?
Whichever one gives me a prime parking spot. Can't remember if that's HD or Lowe's. Oh well, just give me my 10% discount, and I'll be on my way.

I know it's a marketing strategy but has anyone ever parked in these veteran parking spots? I find it ridiculous. /threadjack out.

At my local Lowes the "veteran parking" spaces look like the parking lot of the barracks after payday. I suppose that tells you who uses them.

Damn right I use them when it would otherwise mean parking between two F250 work trucks 40 yards from the door. How is that ridiculous?

Not faulting you for using the spots. I'm just railing against the concept. Why don't other honorable professions get special treatment?

Honestly, the politics of special parking spots still triggers me from going to the MCX where every O-6 and above and E-9 had their special parking spot.

Is "Any ENS/2LT" still a thing?
