I've always been a semi-auto and in particular 1911 guy but losing once-fired brass in the long grass when plinking down on the farm was getting old. I was in my local shop picking up some primers and he was putting this in the case fresh in. A S&W 586 with the 4" barrel. Used but looks damn near unfired. No holster wear and muzzle is clean and no worn bluing at all around the cylinder pawls came with the box and all the S&W paperwork. $400 and ten days later thanks to Maryland's waiting period :icon_rage it's mine. Wife said consider it my personal retired from the Reserves gift as that paperwork showed up a couple months ago and I'd nothing to reward myself.

If anyone knows how to date S&W I'd be interested in a born on date. SN# is BRM 141XX.

Now, a look around the Bianchi catalog and an order for some .357 dies and I'll be in business. Not a great shot but here it is.

I've been serving this sentence in MD since I took my last set of AD orders here in 95. I lived at Whidbey from 88 to 95 and I consider it far more home than here even though I've owned two house and met my wife here. Plan is outta here in 24 months to New Hampshire. Just need to find a position in the company I want.

Not sure where I will end up.. Still a long way off. My parents are in the middle of moving from MA to Mt. Vernon, NH.

NH is being taken over by the Masholes though.. (as in a politics kind of way)
VT ditto, but New Yorkers..

Not sure how long it will be before their firearms laws approach the same kind of insanity as NY, NJ, MA and MD

I only had 2 boxes of 7.5x55 Swiss follow me home today... Not screaming bargains at the show in Flour Bluff (not in my price range, anyways)..

1903s still in the CMP box are worth $1500, right?
