You hit the nail on the head. The objection to having a gay man in a male stateroom is the same arguement for not having men and women rooming together on the boat, or a restroom that both men and women go into. (imagine being in a restuarant taking a piss when some strange woman walks in and makes light conversation....reminds me of McGuires)
