OCS packing list 2022

Should or are we even allowed to bring other shoes besides running shoes and boots? We shouldn’t need to bring more than just a pair of running shoes and boots, right?

From previous comments. Pillow is really not needed. Blanket fleece or something that can be folded up and put in a desk drawer. Also heard people wear those body blankets.

I brought a pillow and blanket. The pillow I was given for my rack was good enough and I got rid of the one I bought. I bought a nicer blanket at the NEX when I had a chance and that really helped.

I had a one of those thin cotton blankets. It was fine. The barracks are pretty warm inside. OCS NOV 23 - FEB 24

I think sleeping bag is the move regardless so you don’t have to completely make your bed everyday

I brought a blanket with me and it worked well, others brought a sleeping bag and it also worked. Bring what you can manage moving with you several times. I would also recommend chapstick and lotion and bring your own boot socks. I bought the heavy weight ones and it helped me break it in.
