You are young enough to go aviation and your 3.5+ in Biology is better than my 3.02 in Animal Science. If you are PQ, try getting into the aviation community. It's like the Surface Navy, but fun and better paying!

I've already been SWO selected so I'm going to go with it, I know it'll be rough, but I'm up for the challenge. Most of my work has been in wildlife biology and as a park ranger so I'm liking your animal science degree.

SWO...that was it

I'm now trying to find other fields that I can enter with a Business Management Degree. GPA 3.5. OAR 64. 27 yrs old. 5 yrs of supervisory/managerial experience

What other suitable fields are there?

Anyone know anything about the Supply boards and when?

I'm thinking of going in as Supply if they keep pushing back SWO boards. Plus I have a business degree which is a great fit for supply

Any other fields thats a good fit for business degree holders?

I'm no recruiter but you should have heard back, there have been at least 2 boards that have met since November. Have you been in contact with your recruiter? I ask mine a ton of questions, don't be scared to bother them.

My recruiter gives me the vibes that I'm bothering her everytime I ask her questions or send emails. She's also not pro active in providing information. I have to dig it out of her.

it also takes at least a week to hear back from her

I called and email her last month...no response....called and emailed her again 2 weeks ago...no response

called and emailed her yesterday and call and emailed a different recruiter in a different county yesterday also....finally heard back from her today and asked for my phone number

my email signatures have my phone number in it....she already has all my contact info

Wow that's rough, I'm not sure how it works but maybe another recruiter on here can explain to you how to change recruiters.

What did the other recruiter you spoke to tell you? Did you ask your current recruiter about results? There was a board late February and results were out early this month.

the other recruiter just emailed me back saying that he forwarded my contact info to her.

my last 3 emails to my current recruiter were regarding results

I don't want to be a pain in the butt to anyone so I didn't give her a call everyday and bother her.

Is it normal protocol for a recruiter to contact applicants if they DID NOT get accepted? or do they only contact the ones who were accepted since they have no vested interest to the ones denied?

My recruiter said she would let me know either way, and your status would have shown a pro-rec Y or N from what I've been told.

You shouldn't worry about being a pest, it's your future and they are there to help you.

I would go ahead and call/text/email your recruiter tomorrow and find out what your status is. If you keep getting ignored maybe your info can be transferred to a recruiter willing to help.

Sorry your having such a hard time with it.

some recruiters don't call applicants if they are not selected, they just wait for them to call or wait for the processor to send the "sorry" letter from NRC

did you have any negative information in your application? some recruiter try to ignore applicants they are sure won't get picked up.

It can take a while for pro N's to get updated, I have seen some that took a long time to be updated.

I don't believe I had anything negative in my application. Last time I saw my recruiter in person I personally asked her what she thinks my chances were and she said "very good". Not too sure what that means coming from a recruiter

It is more about the experience of the recruiter, and some hate to give an honest opinion, to some if the applicant can fog a mirror they will say they have a chance.

found out 3 weeks ago that my recruiter never turned in my package and threw away everything....while leading me on the whole time...making me wait for months

i contacted another recruiter from another county. heard the bad new from new recruiter that it was never turned in. old recruiter didn't even bother calling me or respond to my emails.

recruiter had no intentions of turning in my package from the beginning. how do i know? i didn't even have my fingerprints done and completely go over my package and all that. wasted a month's worth of driving back and forth, calls and emails.....i was respectful the whole time and I don't know why she wanted to screw me.

completed my package all over again from scratch with the new recruiter. changed my choices to supply as primary choice, then SWO as secondary
